At Frameweld, we take testing seriously, (just ask anyone who attended our last three-hour meeting on the subject!), and utilize the best collaboration tools to improve the quality and efficiency of our work. Testing at various stages of development versus just prior to launch saves time and effort in the long run and ensures that small issues don’t evolve into big ones.

We use the CrossBrowserTesting service in conjunction with TightVNC to check how well websites respond to different browsers and operating systems. CrossBrowserTesting is a service that allows testers to connect to virtual machines via TightVNC (a free remote control software package), delivering almost any browser and any operating system right to your desktop. Tracking bugs and confirming fixes is a breeze with Basecamp’s To-do Lists feature. Bugs are noted and nested in either “Bugs” or “Future Suggestions” sections. Selective Email notifications for each To-do item keep people in the loop without becoming overwhelming, and comments on each item allow the team to clearly identify issues and discuss solutions. Finally, the bug is resolved and the item is checked off and archived for future reference.
