May 25, 2006 - Frameweld to produce live Webcast on June 15, 2006: Five Components of Reading Instruction


Norfolk State University, a RFTEN institution, will host a day long conference on June 15, 2006, featuring the Five Components of Reading Instruction - phonics, phonemic awareness, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension. Frameweld created the website for the event, and will also be webcasting the event live from the venue.

Frameweld also used its bulk email software to contact prospective attendees. Click here to view the event website. Timothy Shanahan, Ph.D., president-elect of the International Reading Association and Mary P. Abouzeid, Ph.D., a professor and director of Reading First Professional Development at the University of Virginia, are among the featured presenters for the live webconference. Instructors for the webconference are Shannon Amiotte, M.S. Ed., a National Board Certified Teacher and a professor at Oglala Lakota College in Kyle, SD; and Erica Simon, M.Ed., reading expert and educational consultant. The webcast will be broadcast from Norfolk State University, School of Education, Bozeman Building.
