American Sociological Association

project overview

Frameweld developed an adaptable video library for ASA to accommodate its constantly growing rich media archive. The website is a compilation of highlights from annual ASA meetings with a video library that dates back to 2002, capturing presentations from leaders on new ideas and research. The homepage features a collection of video organized by year with a built-in marketing feature to inform users about the upcoming annual ASA meeting. Presentations are displayed with corresponding transcripts and with chapters that allow users to jump to specific points in each video. Global and local search capabilities allow users to plug in search terms for results that match media elements from over eighty hours of content. Results are returned from all media types including titles, tags, chapters, descriptions, and captions allowing users to quickly find the content they need.

Our solution provides ASA with an expandable and accessible rich media library for the benefit of all users.
