Columbia University

project overview

Frameweld partnered with the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and Pfizer to create and fund this custom course application. Our fully accessible technology utilizes progressive solutions and the course structure is based on principles in instructional design and implementation science.

The technological features of this site include real time usage monitoring, course progress feedback, custom logic to automate certificate issuance, and a unique administrative interface to manage instructor interaction. The custom work flow guides the user through the pre-test knowledge assessment, in to the rich media presentations, out to the post-test assessment and evaluation, and then automatically issues a CME certificate upon completion. Through a series of logic, the system automatically sends notifications to users who complete the initial course after three months and six months. This asks them to come back and participate in an outcomes analysis activity for further credit.

This site allows Columbia University to provide low cost, highly effective learning to the vast audience of physicians they serve. Future training and courses will be improved by outcome and evaluation analytics.
