Organizations today generate and store vast amounts of information in both physical and electronic formats. Whether its documents, reports, multimedia, text, forms, or records, simply possessing information does not automatically generate competitive advantage. Users need to readily and rapidly find the content they require to succeed. This means that organizations looking to take full advantage of their knowledge assets require tools for methodically storing, searching, browsing, and viewing information.
Docwelder is an end-to-end Document Management solution. Sophisticated yet user friendly, Docwelder offers a suite of components for Capturing, Storing, Indexing, Browsing, Searching and Retrieving documents, as well as consulting and professional services.
Docwelder consists of the following components:
Document Capture: OCR results of images as well as the text extracted from files of other formats are automatically indexed to enable searching for specific terms contained in the documents. Users can perform complex full text searches through their Web browser. Word, phrase and Boolean searches can be performed. Thesaurus search helps users find similar words in documents. The “fuzzy” search capability returns accurate results even if the search term is misspelled in the query. Users can narrow their search results by searching for documents in specific folders.
Enhanced Viewing Capabilities: When a search is performed and results are returned, users have the option to access both the converted full text of the document, or the original source document, whether it is a scan or electronic document.
Relevancy-based Ranking: The application ranks documents according to their relevance to the search criteria.
Multi-Format Viewer: Documents in various formats can be viewed, including HTML, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, Access databases, and PDF.
Search Term Highlighting: The search terms are highlighted when the documents are viewed in the browser, enabling users to easily navigate from one result to another.

Viewing Scanned Documents: Tools for zooming into and rotating scanned documents are built into the browser interface.
